FAQs
What is a masterclass?
A masterclass is created to further the knowledge in a specific subject. Business masterclasses are led by a qualified expert and will contain information, education, and instruction that is meant to lead to a deeper understanding of that subject. They are hands on and use real life scenarios, either that if the leader or of the students. The goal is to push through pain points that are met through growth in business. These types of classes are typically small in nature so as to provide detailed instruction.
What is a mastermind?
Similar to a masterclass but the one key difference is that there is a ‘host’ who leads the group, but this is a shared discussion. All members should feel free to bring their experience and expertise to the table in these types of meetings. While there might still be someone leading the meeting, the understanding is that everyone present is in a position to give back to the group.
What is a mentor?
Since we’re on the subject - a mentor relationship is typically a one on one meeting where the mentor is in a position to guide the mentee. The mentor will have experience in a particular area, for example, getting your finances and paperwork in order so that you can apply for a business loan. They will then help navigate through the process and be there to help with questions or concerns along the way. Typically the more broad the mentorship the longer the relationship.
Why do I need a community?
If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together. This isn’t a race, this is your life and the journey should be just as incredible as the finish line. The people around you, your friends, your family, and your peer group, have a dramatic impact on how enjoyable the journey is going to be. We have lived our whole lives by the belief that it takes a village. This is something that our society has pushed aside in recent years, but life is meant to be lived with people around us. As with business, your triumphs are even greater when they’re shared with people who understand the hardships and the effort it took for you to reach your goals.
What if I can’t make it to the class I paid for?
Our classes will be recorded, so while, you will miss out on the group aspect, you will have access to the video version. From there we are happy to check in with you by phone after you’ve watched the video, and clarify any aspects of the class that will be the key to your success. Please understand these calls will be capped at 20 minutes. If further discussion is needed we can consider a mentorship or alternate class.
Do you have any free offerings so I can find out if we’re a match?
The best way to make the most of our free information is by following us on social media. One of our biggest values is authenticity so you’ll see the real us there and can judge for yourself. Since Instagram and TikTok are quick form videos you’ll find easily accessible bits of information, ideas you can follow up on, or introductions to our upcoming classes. YouTube is a longer form video so you’ll find lengthier conversations around the subjects we discuss in our classes and general business discussions.
What makes you qualified to give business advice?
In complete transparency. We took over our first business almost 20 years ago after having worked in that business for several years beforehand. This was a fairly simple business - service based with few expenses other than payroll. We hoped for expansion which came with the purchase of our own location. Expenses started to pile up at that point and making it through the ‘off-season’ became more difficult but we managed. About 6 years in we took over our second business.
This is when things started to go sideways. We are stubborn, we thought we had the knowledge we needed, and even when we realized we didn’t we didn’t know where to look for guidance. Things got progressively harder and one business was trying to keep the other going financially. There were a few up sides… we are extremely stubborn, we have an incredible support system (which includes our work team), and we learned humility.
I will never forget the first time I right out admitted to a supplier that I did not have the money to pay them. That is now a core memory for me.
So do we have the background and the knowledge of running multiple businesses, navigating hard times, have huge dreams every step of the way? You’re damn right we do. And we will be the people that we needed when we first started out. We’ll be that for you.
Why do I need you at my wedding?
We’ve spent over 20 years immersed in weddings and the wedding industry. The biggest takeaway that time has shown us? That the stress levels at a wedding are beyond measure. To date our smallest wedding was 10 people and the bride’s reason for wanting us there sums up exactly why we provide this service. She wanted her family and bridal party to enjoy the day with her.
There are so many pieces of the puzzle that need to be put into place on the day of your wedding. We’ve sewn bridesmaids into their gown when a zipper breaks. Tues bow ties when the groomsmen just couldn’t get it. Smoothed fires between family members. And most of all, please read this, most of all - we have made sure that the bride has a moment to eat something, that there is at least one calm moment for the newlyweds to take in their wedding day, and we run interference on any question that does not need to bother the bride.
The stress of that day can be so much more than you can imagine. Let us allow you to have a beautiful, calm day. Let us take that stress away.
Who are the Sinders Sisters really?
- We grew up on a chicken farm in the country.
- Stacey keeps a picture of herself as a child standing in a puddle in rubber boots, an 80s blue bomber jacket, and a baseball cap pinned to her memory board in our office. She always was the one for fashion. The dreamer. The one who believes that no dream is too big.
- Meghan spoke very little growing up, and was deathly shy. She also had the habit of bringing home stray animals that might have needed help, or might have just been lost (she was a kid, honest mistake…). And now, she’ll be the first to listen when someone is too timid or too afraid to take that first step for themselves.
- Our families consist of a bus load of children ranging in age from 32 to 2. Combined families for the win!
- One of our biggest goals in life is to become the people that we needed. To create the community and support system that business owners need access to. To give people a business village.
