Summary

An in-person masterclass with Meghan and Stacey Lavergne. Sinders Sisters, and multi-business owners.

Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, BeReal. You create content on platforms that you can reasonably take care of properly. Poor representation on multiple platforms can be worse than none but it can feel like you’re being left behind if you don’t cover them all. Honestly, each platform is a business in their own right and each of those businesses is carving out their own niche in their social media industry. So depending on your product or service one choice might be better than the other.

The most important thing to remember when you create content. Do not try to be someone you aren’t. Reality tv has been replaced by social media and savvy shoppers can smell inauthentic a kilometre away.

First point - a website is non-negotiable. If you do not have a website then you have to make one now. There are actually multiple reasons for this, but this is your first point of contact and the basis on which your clients will start their journey with you. Do it now. If you have one amazing! Go look at it and make sure you’re happy with it. Then go ask someone who doesn’t know what you offer to look at it. Fix the questions they find.

Back to social media. It can feel daunting. Oh even worse! It can feel like you’re making a fool out of yourself for the world to see. Well then please back up and read about our classes on your inner monologue and finding your role models. You believe in what you offer the world right? You believe that it’s worth putting effort into creating this business and that there is a need out there for what you offer. Then why would you ever feel shame about talking about your business?

Summary

A virtual masterclass with Meghan and Stacey Lavergne. Sinders Sisters, and multi business owners. We pride ourselves on the service we offer in every one of our businesses. When you say heart and soul, we mean heart and soul and blood and sweat and tears. You’ll eventually hear us describe one of our first businesses as one of our babies. If you’re putting this much time and effort into your business that it becomes a part of you or a part of your family then you should never sell yourself short. You are allowed to offer a product or a service that you believe in. At a price you feel covers your time and expenses. That’s just smart business. If you’re going to put this much effort in, then believe that you are worth it.

Look, it’s seen as taboo to discuss money but we have to ask why. If we felt proud to set that boundary and say ‘we need x to cover expenses and we deserve x for our time/effort’ then logically I’m going to set that as my price because that’s what my product or service is worth. Why should we feel like we aren’t worth that amount of money.

Put it this way. If your best friend ever uttered the words ‘I’m not worth that’ would you have some pretty pointed words to say back to them? We sure would. You should believe in yourself like you are the be all and end all in life, because you are. You have a gift - be it a product you create, or a service you provide - someone in this world needs that from you. Someone in this world is going to find you and say ‘where have you (and your business!) been all my life??’.

Of course being proud of what you offer isn’t all about setting boundaries around what you charge. It’s about delusional confidence.

Take your belief in yourself and what you offer to the next level. Say to yourself out loud right now that you are worth it. I dare you. Then reflect on how that made you feel to talk yourself up like that.

Let’s do it again, this is going to be fun 🤩
